Providing education, encouragement and experience in the visual arts
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown, Inc. (SCAN) is a non- profit arts organization from Western Connecticut. Our goal is to support artists and promote the visual arts. For more than half a century SCAN members, (artists of all skill levels and art enthusiasts) have been sharing their knowledge.
Our activities include:
- Monthly art demonstrations
- Art Show & Sales
- Workshops
- Open Studio
- Bus trips in to visit art events
- Other art-related activities
Each month we publish SCAN INK, a newsletter for our members, which provides complete details about our programs.
We meet at the Newtown Meeting House at the Flag Pole, 31 Main Street (Route 25).
