SCAN sponsors several art exhibits each year. We accept original work in the following media: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, graphics, mixed media and printmaking. In addition, we accept sculpture in our Annual Juried Art Show. We do not accept photography, computer generated prints or commercial reproductions in any shows.
Our Annual Juried Art Show is open to all artists and offers
substantial cash and merchandise awards. This show will be held at the Art & Frame establishment on Main Street in Newtown.
Held at the Newtown Meeting House, entry of works into this weekend show is limited to SCAN members and offers a great opportunity to show both framed work as well as unframed portfolio work. The show gives the public the opportunity to see and purchase works of art by local artists.
This one-day event is held in December at the Newtown Meeting House and is open to SCAN members only.
Held at the Newtown Municipal Building, Fairfield Hills Campus, this month long show is open to SCAN members only and offers them an opportunity to exhibit framed artwork for sale.
In this innovative community partnership program, SCAN arranges frequent small-scale shows at popular area locations, open to members for participation.
